Femtosecond laser direct writing of perovskite patterns with whispering gallery mode lasing

摘要
Hybrid perovskites have recently attracted attention in both materials science and opto-electronics research, because of their excellent opto-electronic properties and facile fabrication. Perovskitebased photovoltaic devices, photodetectors, and light-emitting diodes have exhibited unprecedented success. Moreover, optically pumped perovskite lasers have been reported with various crystal shapes. However, most of these lasers are fabricated from solutiongrown micro/nano crystals, and thus lack reproducibility. Here, we present controllable fabrication of formamidinium lead iodide(FAPbI3) perovskite microdisks by thermal co-evaporation, coupled with femtosecond laser direct writing. After careful investigation of dimensional effects, including the impact of diameter and thickness, we achieved an ultra-low threshold of B3 lJ cm2. Furtherore, we investigated the relationship of lasing performance with carrier dynamics by transient absorption. We found that a longer carrier lifetime can reduce the pump threshold. These microdisk lasers based on femtosecond laser fabrication of evaporated pervskite thin films show exceptional reproducibility, rendering them extremely suitable for mass production; hence, they offer a promisng method for low-cost, on-chip coherent light sources.

教授、博导,泰山学者青年专家、崂山学者、学科带头人及武汉大学兼职教授。先后任职于北京理工大学、南洋理工大学、武汉大学及青岛科技大学。他长期致力于超快激光与物质相互作用研究,提出基于共振吸收的飞秒激光高效选择性加工新方法,成功应用于光子晶体加工、油水分离器制造等领域,展现出极高的工业加工能力;同时,成功验证了飞秒激光海水制氢假设,为万亿美元级的大规模制氢工程化奠定了实验基础。其科研成果丰硕,在Nanoscale、APL等主流SCI期刊发表论文40余篇,总被引超1100次;获国家发明专利18项(多项正推进转化)。主持国自然面上项目、先导科技专项子课题等16项,并作为骨干参与多项国家重大科研计划。
